The books were published by Victor Gollancz Ltd. Er zijn verschillende stammen orcs en een hoofdman van een stam kan magie gebruiken. I wanted the reader to see the orcs as a formidable and deadly horde moving in concert, but also be able to pick out the individuals within the group. Maybe I just don't get it. I was initially intrigued by the idea of a book written about and from the Orcish perspective. How often do you get to listen to a story where the villain is the protagonist? The orcs spoke like real people, they used hilarious expressions, and they swore. However, death was supposed to be the end of it.
Thankful it was me, not you that bore the sword. The Orcs had other ideas. Not once, but many times. Orcs is a great book, and the first of its kind that I read that told the story from the orcs pov. This collection contains the first four volumes of the Scattered and the Dead series, audiobooks 0. The Orcs Omnibus is the complete collection of the Orcs: First Blood trilogy by Stan Nicholls. C'è una coppia in particolare che fa sempre colazione in veranda, a cui Rachel si affeziona. I got a bit bored of endless description of battles and limbs falling off. Orcs: Forged for War will be Nicholls's first graphic novel, and the latest entry in this extended series. In this game, he isn't the hero. Unfortunately if you took out the visuals they would resemble half a dozen other barbarian races that inhabit fantasyland. Nicholls takes the fantasy kicking boy villian, the orc, and tells a tale from his viewpoint.
The fight scenes were vivid, if a bit repetitious and, dare I say, formulaic? In remarkably similar circumstances each time. In short they are not really Orcs at all. The beginning and the middle of the series were definitely superior to the last third, but the ending was by no means a deal-breaker either.
